Karen's Quinceañera

Last weekend was Karen's quinceañera.  A quinceañera marks the transition from childhood to womanhood and is celebrated on a Hispanic girl's 15th birthday when her parents present her to society as a young woman.  Karen's quince was a traditional Mexican quinceañera with a Catholic mass, a waltz, a dance with her father, the ritual of the last doll and a special gift presentation from her sponsors.  Here are her photos.

Her ceremony was held at St. John Nepomucene in Ennis, TX (the same church where we were married almost five years ago...such a nice church, but sometimes difficult to get the right amount of light and tone since no flash was used) :]

Karen also had Cadets instead of the usual chambelanes as part of her court...

Her bouquet was really cute...

Here's where her father crowns her on the left, and a shot of her waltz with the cadets on the right...

Thanks for letting us take photos of you on your big day Karen :]  We had a lot of fun and you were so pretty in pink!
