Haight-Ashbury District

Here's the second part of our San Francisco trip, the Haight-Ashbury District, one of the places where we spent most of our time. I've always wanted to visit this part of San Francisco ever since reading about the Vietnam War, all the protests held there, the music that flourished within its' streets, and of course, where the Summer of Love began. The place is still full of hippies, peace signs, color, music and art, just like back in the '60s, definitely one of my favorite stops.

It's nice to see that some places like Amoeba are still around.

We stumbled into this cool shop called Bang-On, they had some really cool items, lots of vintage stuff and T-Shirts galore that you could custom design, needless to say, Carlos was very happy in there. I'm glad they're online.

The historical Red Victorian, a B & B promoting peace, a good nights sleep and a café (I liked how the young guy is helping the little old lady cross the street).
