Top 5 Christmas Movies

Being a cinephile, I was thinking about this the other day...Christmas movies! What better way to spend a December evening, cozied up to your hubs and 2 chihuahuas, drinking hot chocolate on a cold day, and popping in one of the millions of Christmas movies out there. Here are my top 5 Christmas movies (left to right):

1.) A Christmas Story - Ugh! My favorite ever! I've been watching this EVERY year without fail since I was a kid.
2.) Home Alone - A modern classic...Who'da thunk one of my favorite '80s directors would make such a wonderful Christmas movie. You gotta love Macaulay, so cute at 8 years old...Oh, and Home Alone: Lost in NY is pretty good too...Ahh NY (sigh), part 3...Meh!.

3.) It's a Wonderful Life - With Jimmy Stewart, his one will just make you cry, but a very good movie, with one of the greatest lines ever: "What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That's a pretty good idea. I'll give you the moon, Mary." "I'll take it."

4.) Elf - Will Ferrell & Zooey Deschanel, that's all you gotta say :]

5.) A Charlie Brown Christmas - Technically not a movie, but a TV special, but a must see at Christmas time. What are your favorite Christmas movies?

  1. I like to watch Elf as soon as we put up our Christmas tree. And then a few more times after that!
