Photo Trip 04/24/10: Ft. Worth

On Saturday we took a photo trip to the Ft. Worth Botanic Gardens.  This was our first time going and were surprised that they had the Spring Festival in the Japanese Gardens.

These first couple of shots were taken near the North entrance.  To check out the garden map, click HERE (PDF File).

This one is one of my favorites because you can see the little bee in the middle.

Where were all these sunflowers when I needed them?  Marlen would've liked these for her senior photo shoot.

And now to the Japanese Gardens.

Traditional Japanese Dancing

Bonsai Trees.  We purchased our first bonsai at the festival.  It's a Juniper Bonsai Tree named Garu, after the ninja.  We'll post of picture of it later.

Rose Gardens

Our only black and white photo of the day.

After the Ft. Worth Botanic Gardens, we headed over to Prairie Fest 2010, also in Ft. Worth, to take some shots of the beautiful wildflowers.

If you ever get a chance to visit the Ft. Worth Botanic Gardens I do recommend wearing comfortable shoes, pack a lunch, bring your camera and enjoy the beautiful gardens and flowers.
